outside looking in

Up ahead there were dark clouds & what appeared to be rain. We were driving & quickly approached a storm cloud — but this one was different. I saw this one on the horizon, from the outside looking in.

It wasn’t intimidating because I knew that it wouldn’t last. I could see the beginning, middle & end before we even entered into the darkness.

God promises us that He’s already seen the beginning, the middle & the end — all that He asks is that we trust Him through the storm, even during the darkest parts.

The moments when you’re unsure of how you’ll wake up tomorrow.

The moments when you don’t know how your bills will be paid.

The moments when the pain is unbearable.

Although, normally, we don’t get to see the end of the storm before we enter into it — we do know how the ultimate storm ends, “He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” [Revelation 21:5].
